Over the years, I’ve made it a point to explain that psychic readings aren’t party tricks.
I usually say this with a mock huff, followed by something like, “I see you meeting a tall, dark stranger and becoming very rich!” It gets the laugh I’m aiming for while making the point.
This isn’t a dig at psychics who work parties. They’re fun! And if they’re the real deal, they’re often highly skilled with plenty of value to offer. But the work I do - what many of us do - goes deeper.
Here’s what a good psychic reading can offer:
Insight & Guidance
A strong reading can shed light on personal situations or relationships, offering fresh insight to help navigate what’s unfolding.
Emotional Support
For many, a reading provides energetic validation and emotional support in times of stress. The experience of being truly seen is powerful medicine.
Personal Growth
Good readings don’t just give answers, they spark better questions. They invite self-reflection and can catalyze a deeper understanding of your own energy.
Clarity in Complexity
Psychics don’t make your choices, but a clear reading can help illuminate your path so that you can walk it with greater discernment and confidence.
Play & Possibility
Sometimes, people come to a reading out of curiosity or for entertainment, and that’s fine too. Lightness has its place. I’ve had plenty of skeptics leave as believers.
Energetic Validation
Some clients arrive feeling “off” but can’t name it. A good psychic can help articulate that energetic tangle. Naming it can be a tremendous relief.
Expanded Perspective
Good readings expand your lens. They may introduce archetypes, timelines, or soul-level patterns you hadn’t considered and open doors to new ways of thinking and being.
Empowerment Through Sovereignty
The best readings remind you of your power. Your soul, your choices, your path - you are the one walking it. A great reader will never forget that, and won’t let you forget it either.
Next week on PsychicThis:
So what happens after the reading? After the insight, the tears, the laughter, the aha? You go back to your life: same job, same dishes, same inner questions. But something has shifted.
Next week, we explore what it means to simply be. The stories we tell ourselves, the “truths” we cling to, our ideas about what it means to be spirit in body. All of it comes into question.
What if there is no ultimate truth to find? What if you don’t need one?
You might just discover that being is enough, and that you're already free.
Like how I roll? Think you would like to book a reading? You can do that here.
